Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Jordan King is a dynamic drummer whose reputation is quickly being recognized and celebrated as one of the premier talents in the music industry. Known for his unique blend of precision, dynamics, and power, Jordan combines effortless groove, feel, and aggression into a seamless energetic style. While honing his craft for over 20 years, Jordan's versatility shines through a diverse repertoire, spanning across genres such as rock, country, punk, pop, metal, folk, funk, blues and more.

 

Jordan's passion for music emerged early in life when his parents noticed his natural sense of rhythm as he transformed his mother’s kitchen pots and pans into makeshift drums, wielding wooden spoons as sticks. Recognizing his talent, they soon gifted him his first drum kit — a moment that ignited a lifelong dedication to drumming. Since then, Jordan has become a seasoned musician, performing full-time with several Calgary-based bands, including Flaysher, Void Souls, The Path Less Traveled, Safe At Second, and Shawbrooke. He has also built a thriving career as a sought-after freelance drummer within the Calgary music scene.

 

Jordan finds inspiration within a diverse array of artists, including Linkin Park, A Day to Remember, Nickelback, Keith Urban, Blink-182, Katy Perry, Lamb of God, Alexisonfire, Luke Combs, The Ghost Inside, Nate Smith, Nirvana, Creed, Breaking Benjamin, and Bring Me the Horizon, among many others. His openness to all styles of music and genuine passion for diverse sounds fuel his versatility, enabling him to adapt swiftly and excel in any musical opportunity that comes his way.

 

Outside of music, Jordan has earned two technical degrees from esteemed Calgary-based institutions. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Geology from Mount Royal University and an Applied Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT). While he takes pride in these academic achievements, Jordan’s true passion has always been music. This unwavering dedication to drumming has inspired him to take significant strides toward building a full-time career in the music industry.
